I am an evolutionary geneticist based at the School of Biological Sciences at the University of East Anglia.

We are interested in understanding how reproductive traits evolve and function. We use fruitfly model systems to evaluate the potential of sexual selection and sexual conflict to drive evolutionary change. We use the power of these systems to understand the underlying mechanisms involved. We are also interested in translating messages from this research into novel methods for pest insect control
